O-1 petition software

O-1 petition software that maps evidence to O-1A or O-1B criteria

Immigration Copilot drafts O-1 petitions from the beneficiary's own case file. It reads 30 to 200 documents, works out whose achievement each one describes, places the evidence on the O-1A or O-1B criteria, and puts an exhibit cite on every sentence of the letter. Anything it can't trace to a quote comes back to you as a question.

  • O-1A and O-1B criteria, plus EB-1A
  • Weak criteria shown before drafting
  • Exhibit cite on every sentence
  • Exhibit binder from the same record

Criterion 5 · Original contributions of major significance

Dr. Tanaka designed StructureFold-3, which predicts protein structures at 94.3% TM-score accuracy on the CASP15 benchmark. Within a year of release, 47 pharmaceutical companies had adopted it in their drug-discovery pipelines, and researchers downloaded it more than 2.1 million times.

Two standards, two lists

O-1A and O-1B ask for different evidence

Both tracks accept one major award or at least three of the listed criteria, and both allow comparable evidence when a criterion does not readily apply to the occupation. The lists themselves differ.

O-1A

8 CFR 214.2(o)(3)(iii)

Sciences, education, business or athletics. Sustained national or international acclaim; one of the small percentage at the very top of the field.

Or a major, internationally recognized award, such as the Nobel Prize.

Or at least three of

  1. 1Nationally or internationally recognized prizes or awards for excellence
  2. 2Membership in associations that require outstanding achievements, judged by recognized experts
  3. 3Published material about the beneficiary in professional or major trade publications or major media
  4. 4Judging the work of others, on a panel or individually
  5. 5Original scientific, scholarly or business-related contributions of major significance
  6. 6Authorship of scholarly articles in professional journals or other major media
  7. 7Employment in a critical or essential capacity for organizations with a distinguished reputation
  8. 8A high salary or other remuneration, past or future

O-1B

8 CFR 214.2(o)(3)(iv)

Arts: distinction, meaning prominence in the field. Motion picture and television cases use the same six criteria under (o)(3)(v), with an extraordinary achievement standard.

Or a nomination for, or receipt of, a significant national or international award such as an Academy Award, Emmy, Grammy or Directors Guild Award.

Or at least three of

  1. 1Lead or starring roles in productions or events with a distinguished reputation, past and future
  2. 2National or international recognition in critical reviews or other published material
  3. 3Lead, starring or critical roles for organizations with a distinguished reputation, past and future
  4. 4A record of major commercial or critically acclaimed successes
  5. 5Significant recognition from organizations, critics, government agencies or recognized experts
  6. 6A high salary or other substantial remuneration compared with others in the field

O-1 petitions also generally need a written advisory opinion from a peer group, labor or management organization (the consultation under 8 CFR 214.2(o)(5)). Immigration Copilot does not obtain it.

What it does for O-1

From the evidence file to a cited O-1 letter

Each step produces something you can open and correct before the next one runs.

  1. 01

    Reads the whole case file

Award certificates, press, reviews, contracts, citation reports, recommendation letters, salary records, scans. Each of the 30 to 200 files is classified, dated and tied to the person it is about.

  2. 02

    Knows whose achievement it is

A recommender's credentials stay with the letter and never become the beneficiary's achievements. A namesake in a newspaper is not your client.

  3. 03

Maps to O-1A or O-1B criteria

Verified evidence lands on the O-1A or O-1B criteria it supports, depending on the case you open. Weak and empty criteria show up before anyone writes a paragraph.

  4. 04

Drafts with a cite on every sentence

Facts are quoted, and code compares each quote to the source text. A quote that is not there is dropped. A sentence with nothing behind it is removed.

  5. 05

    Builds the exhibit binder

Auto-numbering, drag to reorder, cites checked both ways, and one PDF with an exhibit list, tab pages and page numbers. Edit in the built-in editor and export to Word.

  6. Before you see it

Every document is read four times with different instructions, and three reads must agree. Unsigned drafts, templates, paid placements and disputed attributions arrive as flags for you to decide.

O-1 drafting tools, side by side

Most of these cover more case types than Immigration Copilot. The question is which one writes the O-1 letter the way you would check it.

Honest scope

It writes the O-1 letter. It does not file the case.

Immigration Copilot does one job. Keep the software that already runs your intake, forms and calendar.

If you already run Docketwise, LollyLaw, INSZoom or something similar, keep it. The case management system holds the matter and the I-129; Immigration Copilot writes the letter and the binder.

How the pairing works with Docketwise

What it does

  • Reads and attributes the evidence file
  • Maps evidence to O-1A or O-1B criteria and shows gaps
  • Drafts the petition letter with an exhibit cite on every sentence
  • Lists the open questions it could not verify
  • Assembles the exhibit binder as one PDF

What it does not do

  • I-129 or other USCIS forms
  • The consultation (advisory opinion) letter
  • Case management, calendaring or deadlines
  • Billing or e-filing

Security

Client files stay client files

Immigration records carry passports, salaries and family details. The platform is built around that.

  • Encrypted

Files are encrypted at rest with AES‑256 and in transit with TLS.

  • Separated by firm

Every query and every file path is scoped to your firm and case. Other firms cannot reach your data.

  • No model training

Documents go to AI models through business APIs whose terms exclude training on your data.

  • Access by role

Attorneys, paralegals and clients see what their role allows. Clients upload to their own case only.

FAQ

What attorneys ask about O-1 petition software

What is the best software for drafting O-1 petitions?

For O-1A and O-1B petition letters we recommend Immigration Copilot (our product). It reads the full case file of 30 to 200 documents, separates the beneficiary from recommenders and namesakes, maps evidence to the O-1A or O-1B criteria, and drafts with an exhibit cite on every sentence. For the I-129 and case management, pair it with a system such as Docketwise.

Does it handle O-1B for artists and entertainers?

Yes. Evidence is mapped to the O-1A criteria or the O-1B criteria, depending on the case you open. The O-1B list in 8 CFR 214.2(o)(3)(iv) is different from O-1A: lead or starring roles, critical reviews, commercial or critically acclaimed successes and recognition from critics and experts, among others.

What are the O-1A criteria?

Under 8 CFR 214.2(o)(3)(iii), an O-1A beneficiary shows a major, internationally recognized award, or at least three of eight criteria: prizes or awards, selective memberships, published material about the beneficiary, judging, original contributions of major significance, scholarly articles, a critical or essential role for distinguished organizations, and high salary. Comparable evidence is allowed when a criterion does not readily apply.

Does Immigration Copilot fill out the I-129?

No. It is not a forms, case management, calendaring or billing system. It writes the petition letter and assembles the exhibit binder. Prepare the I-129 in your case management software.

Can the same evidence file support a later EB-1A?

Immigration Copilot handles EB-1A as well as O-1, with evidence mapped to the ten EB-1A criteria when you open an EB-1A case. Whether an O-1 record is strong enough for EB-1A is a judgment for the attorney; the criteria view shows where the evidence is thin.

Are my clients' documents used to train AI models?

No. Documents go to AI models through business APIs whose terms exclude training on your data. Files are encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS, and every query and file path is scoped to your firm and case.

How do we get started?

Book a demo. We set up your firm’s workspace and walk through the first case with you. You can download a sample cited petition first to see the output.

Check the cites before you book anything

Download the sample petition and test any sentence against its exhibit, or book a demo and we will run a sample case, or one of yours, through the reading, the criteria map, the draft and the binder.
