Visalaw.ai Alternative for EB-1A and O-1 Petitions
Visalaw.ai vs Immigration Copilot for EB-1A and O-1: research and drafting across case types, or a brief built from the evidence file, cited per sentence.
Disclosure: Immigration Copilot is our product. Visalaw.ai details come from its homepage, platform page and pricing page, checked October 21, 2026.
A Research-and-Drafting Platform vs an Evidence-File Drafting Tool
Pick Immigration Copilot for the EB-1A or O-1 brief itself when the evidence file is large: it attributes each of the 30 to 200 documents, shows weak criteria before drafting and cites an exhibit on every sentence. Pick Visalaw.ai when the work you want help with is research and drafting across many immigration case types, backed by government and AILA sources. Immigration Copilot does no legal research, forms or case management.
Visalaw.ai was "built by and with the insight of practicing immigration lawyers," and its research library carries AILA and AILALink content alongside government agency materials from DHS/USCIS, DOJ, DOS, DOL and HHS. Its homepage quotes a past AILA president on the collaboration. For a firm that wants an immigration research assistant that also drafts, that pedigree counts.
Immigration Copilot starts from a different place: the client's evidence file, not the law library.

Note the two kinds of citation. Visalaw.ai cites the law and policy sources behind an answer. Immigration Copilot cites the client's exhibits behind each factual sentence. A petition needs both kinds of support, and they come from different places.
Why Attribution Matters More Than Research on an EB-1A File
An attorney filing EB-1A already knows Kazarian. On a 150-document file, the risk sits in the record: a sentence that credits the beneficiary with something only a co-author did, a press clipping about someone else, a recommendation letter that quietly turns into a résumé for the recommender.
So Immigration Copilot reads each document four times with different instructions, and three of those reads have to agree. A recommender's credentials stay with the letter and never become the client's achievements. Facts are quoted, and code compares each quote against the source text; a quote that is not found is dropped, and a sentence with nothing behind it is removed. Unsigned drafts, templates, paid placements and disputed attributions come to you as flags.
The sample cited petition shows what that looks like on paper: two criterion sections, an exhibit cite on every sentence, and the open questions the draft sent back.
When Visalaw.ai Is the Better Pick
- You want an immigration legal research assistant with citations to agency and AILA sources.
- Your practice spans family, humanitarian and employment cases, not only extraordinary ability.
- You run INSZoom or eimmigration and want drafting connected to it. Mitratech announced a Visalaw AI integration for INSZoom at AILA 2026 (our AI features comparison covers it).
- You want a fixed number of drafts per month at a published price.
- Your procurement asks for a SOC 2 Type II report.
When Immigration Copilot Is the Better Pick
Your bottleneck is turning a large EB-1A or O-1 evidence file into a brief you can sign without rereading every exhibit. You want to see criteria coverage before drafting, a cite on every factual sentence, and a binder whose exhibit numbers match the brief. Keep your research tool and your case management system; Immigration Copilot sits between the evidence and the filing.
